A governance committee here at the college recently approved 4 new staff positions. One of them was a part-time position to help me. Another was another PsyD counselor for the counseling center.
We just got an email from the president that none of the approved positions will be filled until the economy turns in such a way that we're not losing tuition dollars because of students' financial hardships.
I'm not surprised I'm going to continue to not get any help. I'm disappointed that the new counselor won't come through.
His email bummed me out more than I expected.
