Our governor apparently got arrested this morning on federal corruption charges.
And, the state is collectively heaving a sigh of relief.
After the last gubernatorial election, one of the other volunteers at Planned Parenthood attacked me for not voting for Blago because of the good work he'd recently (at that time) done for women's access to healthcare in Illinois. I won't and didn't deny that was good stuff, but he's a corrupt bastard. I'm again pleased to say that I didn't vote for that asshole.
